Row By Row Experience 2015 Starts Monday, June 22

 The Long Wait Is Over!
Row By Row Experience 2015 has officially begun. Pearl and the Gang have been busy gearing up and decorating the store to W E L C O M E
you to Bright Hopes Quilting  as you swoop your way across Louisiana.

We think everyone is going to have a blast on this summer-long event as you visit new shops along the way as well as your favorite 'local'.

We open the doors at 9:30 Monday Morning!!

Summertime is the perfect time for the Row By Row as people traditionally take road trips and vacations. Now you have another reason to seek out a shop you've been hankering to get to. Here is a convenient map of the Gulf States Quilt Shops which are participating this year. You can zoom in closer and click on each pinpoint to see the name and location of each shop.
As you stop & go, ask for and receive a free pattern for that shop or to make it easier, you can purchase a kit for that particular shop. Most shops will be selling the cotton fabric 'vanity plates' as well, as a reminder of which shops you visited. Like THIS!!!! We love ours!

Now, you might be thinking, "I don't have time to drive around collecting patterns and whip out a quick quilt!" and we wouldn't blame you.... but wouldn't it be fun to have unique, specially-designed row patterns for future projects in your pattern collection AND YOU HAVE ALL SUMMER!?!?!?!

So, even if you decide not to try to win a bundle of fabric by being the first quilter to bring in a finished quilt (and we mean finished right down to the label on the back!), be sure to ask the shop what they made and pick up the pattern (free) or the kit (ours is $14.99).

Each pattern will finish 9" x 36", which is a great size to make a variety of projects. For example, think mini-wall hanging, totes bags, table runners, bed runners!
If you would like to see some fabulous quilts from last year's Experience for inspiration, click here.

Keeping with the nautical theme, we have designed several patterns, sold exclusively at Bright Hopes, featuring local subject matter.

Pearl has created a pattern to use all the vanity plates you have collected and we have kits cut & ready to go.

The Boiling Pot by Mary Green
How perfect is this for South Louisiana!? This is a fun, fast fusible appliqué pattern that you can knock out in a jiffy and makes a terrific souvenir/gift to commemorate a visit from distant friends.

Madisonville Lighthouse, a paper-pieced pattern, including a finishing kit of buttons, crystal and embroidery thread (day scene).

And finally, for Pin Collectors, here is the official
Row by Row Experience enamel pin.

Here is a complete list of shops, state by state and the Canadian provinces.
(Hint: you can see all the vanity plates listed under each State, as well!)

Collect no less than 8 patterns and design a quilt top. Quilt, bind and LABEL your finished quilt and bring it into any participating shop. If you are the first to do this, you will win a hefty prize from that shop.

SORRY, you can only win this once.

If you make a Bobbin the Robin, bring it with you as you hit all the shops and take photos of your little bird. We have this pattern in stock again. Georgia is teaching a class on making the Robin on July 6! Sign up!!

Upload the photos, as many as you like, here and be in the running to win a cool selection of products form Zebra Patterns. There will be one winner per state and province in Canada.

If you would like to make this roomy tote bag, the pattern is available for free from Timeless Treasures. We have kits to make this version ready to go!
The fab map fabric we used inside this tote blasted out the door as soon as it arrived but we have received a new bolt, so if you were disappointed, now is your chance to grab some, while it lasts!

The rules of the Row By Row Experience are brief and simple.

One free pattern per quilter per shop.
(please do not make photo-copies of these patterns)

You may purchase as many duplicate kits and plates as you like.
We cannot mail kits, patterns or plates during the event. June 21 - Oct. 31. After that time, we will be able to mail these items anywhere.

There are NO Passports needed to join in this "experience". You can make as many of the rows as you like and assemble them in a quilt. If you do a little search on line, you can find great examples of how quilters assembled last year's rows.
